River bends, wooded ridges and historic timber-framed towns bring nature and history close together in the Weser Uplands.

River and ridgelines

The Weser shapes a landscape of wooded hills, villages and riverside paths.

A few highlights

Hohenstein in the Süntel offers striking limestone cliffs and broad views. Schaumburg Castle adds a historic destination, while Hameln’s old town provides a different perspective. Rühle and the river bend near Pegestorf bring the valley landscape into focus.

These are separate ideas for outings, not one continuous day hike.
